I had a good event overall however there were a few things that were far from perfect which was a little disappointing.

The worst part though was the fact that I specifically in advance had informed several times about my dietaries and this was noted down and i still got brought a king prawn and god knows what else I was brought as I was given it separately and was told this was my specified meal and then it was only when I looked at the item I thought it looked odd and questioned it and the waiter went red and realised I was given this accidentally.

I didn't question anything else but I didn't eat any of my other pieces after this as, as you can imagine this put me off.

The waiters were good and the only complaint was I said several times to the girl please keep the drinks topped up as many of my guests kept saying 'theres no beer' or 'you have to have this one' and I didnt want this to be the case if it was topped up every time it went low.

I did have an enjoyable night and got good feedback re food etc from my clients so think thank you for your help.

With a menu of steamed mushroom buns and seafood dumplings, Ping Pong Covent Garden was a restaurant that could serve all I wanted and dim sum; but were the parcels truly palatable, and can a restaurant that benefits from such a large space deliver the cosy and intimate dining feel that a dish like dim sum deserves?

While our first steps landed us straight into the bar and past a myriad of dining tables in a sunken restaurant area, Ping Pong harbours more than just dim sum secrets as a set of dimly lit steps led us to a more intimate dining experience below.

While it's clear to see that Ping Pong Covent Garden tries to reflect the Chinese restaurants of old with bamboo steamers and a myriad of artistic nods to the streets and culture, the materials and structure of Ping Pong evidently build for a modern and contemporary restaurant that nods back rather than clings.

While i'm used to smaller, more concise dim sum menus, it's clear to see that the selection at Ping Pong is geared toward sharing, and pairing their ingredients with a myriad of different dining options.

Not only offering more than a varied selection of steamed and fried fare, Ping Pong is clearly a busy restaurant that's not only trying something different in their ordering department, their menu is enticing enough that even the biggest of group tables seem stacked with steamers.

The meeting room at Ping Pong was perfect for us to use for an employee training event, in which we had 20 delegates per session.

We held 3 training sessions over 2 days and on each occasion the restaurant managers and staff were incredibly professional and friendly.

I will definitely use Ping Pong for future meetings.

Guglielmo Alfarone for “Art Comes Alive at Ping-Pong Dim Sum” “What happens tonight is a surprise for me as much as it is you… I don’t really know what is going to happen.”

His audience readily plied with plenty of wine and a delightful selection of Ping Pong’s finest Dim Sum (of which their festive additions of Beef Wellington Puff, Turkey and Cider Dumplings and Hazlenut Mochi were personal favourites of our group), Guglielmo Alfarone took to the stage.

Armed with nothing but his blank sheet, a few spray bottles of water and some black ink, Guglielmo Alfarone took on a new confidence.

Guglielmo’s performances have been watched across the world and featured in several galleries; testament to his undeniable confidence in his work, talent and ability to shape art before our very eyes in under 10 minutes.

Ping-Pong Dim Sum’s inaugural “Art Comes to Life at Ping-Pong” was an irrefutable success – delicious food paired with surprising and exciting performance art.
